Ramadan: Gusau LG APC Party Chair, Engr Babangida Support 2000 People With Food Items

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Gusau local government, Engr Babangida Abdullahi, has donated 1,000 cartons of macaroni and 1,000 bags of 6kg rice to 2,000 beneficiaries.

Each beneficiary also went away with an additional five thousand naira.

The event, which took place at his Gusau residence, was the usual Ramadan welfare package by the donor, initiated for many years.

Each of the 2,000 beneficiaries, drawn from Gusau, was selected without regard to political or personal relationships and went away with rice or macaroni.

Speaking during the distribution, Engr Babangida Abdullahi said the gesture was driven by his passion to see to the well-being of his people, stressing that the idea was inspired by his political leader, Senator A A Yari.

Former Governor of Zamfara State and Senator representing Zamfara West Senatorial District, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari, has distributed 350 cows to All Progressives Congress, APC, leaders, stakeholders, and less privileged families in the state for the upcoming Eid-el-Fitr festival.

The Chairman of Sen. Yari’s Political Organisation, Dr. Lawal M. Liman, disclosed this shortly after a stakeholders’ meeting held in Gusau on Friday.

Dr. Lawal M. Liman said the gesture was aimed at assisting members of his party and less-privileged families during the Sallah festivities.

He added that the beneficiaries include state, local government, and ward executives of the APC, Islamic scholars, youth and women groups and associations, as well as community leaders in the state.

According to him, other beneficiaries of the cows are, newly appointed executives of Renew Hope Ambassadors, who are originally officials of the party who, for some reason, have not made the list of the newly inaugurated officials.

He commended the former governor for his concern for the people of the state, especially those at the grassroots.

Dr. Lawal M. Liman called on Muslims to use the remaining days of Ramadan to pray for peace and stability in the state and in Nigeria in general.

TMDK CEO Disburses 17,000 Bags Of Rice & Samovita As Ramadan Welfare To His Zamfara People

A business mogul and philanthropist, who doubles as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TMDK GROUP of Companies, AMADU SULE, has donated 17,000 bags of food items to his immediate community as a RAMADAN WELFARE PACKAGE. The items include 7,000 bags of rice (50kg and 25kg) and 10,000 bags of Samovita maize, to be shared among 15,000 beneficiaries in Talata and 2,000 beneficiaries in Kaura Namoda.

Speaking during the flag-off distribution of the food items in Talata Mafara on Sunday, the Chairman, AMADU SULE, stated that it’s a basic responsibility to give back to his people and necessary for well-to-do individuals to assist, especially during the Holy month of Ramadan.

The Chairman, represented by the General Manager of TMDK TERMINAL, Alhaji Sa’adu Aliyu Modaci, recalled that the package was initiated back in 2006 with 100 bags, but today the distribution hits 17,000 bags, which according to him is worthy of celebration.

On behalf of the Chief Executive Officer of the company, he urged the beneficiaries of the package to pray for the donor and the company, stressing that nothing is needed in return other than their prayers.

Other personalities, such as Marafan Mafara, Alhaji Umar Mohammed Marafa, and the Galadiman Mafara, Alhaji Malami Abubakar Sibo, who spoke during the distribution, expressed appreciation to the donor and prayed that Allah rewards him abundantly.

Beneficiaries of the gesture, who are mainly household heads, left the venue in jubilation with different types of food items.
